Handspun Randomly-Striped Newspaper Green Marled Yarn Using Merino Wool and Recycled Materials

Quick facts:

Description:
This handspun wool yarn is incredibly soft with an interesting color story throughout. It has two plies; one is a pure, jet black Merino and the other ply has random variations of newspaper-like gray and a rich olive green. The jet black strand uses new, ethically-sourced fibers while the green and gray strand uses textile waste. It'll create an awesome fabric. This yarn feels almost buttery to the touch. I spun this yarn by hand on my Electric Eel Wheel Nano in a smoke-free environment. Enjoy!

Care:
The yarn is ready-to-use. When it's time to clean, hand-wash it in cold water (using a wool conditioner) and lay flat to dry.

Length estimation:
The length of the skein was estimated by weighing a small length of yarn, finding the centimeter-to-gram ratio, and applying this to the entire weight of the skein. If you'd like a more exact measurement, just let me know! I'd be more than happy to measure the exact length with greater precision.

Packaging:
The yarn will arrive in either a recycled gray mailer or a paper mailer. If it’s in a paper mailer, then the outer packaging (i.e., mailer, label, tape) is entirely recyclable and compostable. If it's in a gray mailer, the outer packaging must be thrown away. In either case, the inner packaging will be entirely compostable.
