Handmade Lightweight and Narrow Maple Wooden Yarn Holder Using 100% Sustainable Materials

Description:
This yarn holder uses uses maple hardwood and a blend of plastic-free finishes. The maple is American domestic hardwood, which is sustainably-managed using industry best practices. We made it entirely by hand in a smoke-free environment; in fact, except for the the center hole in the base, we only used hand powers for the entire piece, including milling. The yarn holder is finished it with 1 coat of boiled linseed oil and resin (thinned) and 2 coats of boiled linseed oil and beeswax. Altogether, the wood in this yarn holder has a visually striking shine to it, without being overpoweringly glossy. Also, unlike most modern finishes, this method is entirely plastic-free and traditional. This style of yarn holder is great for holding yarn, especially cones, for fiber crafts of any kind.

Care:
This yarn holder requires the same care as a small piece of furniture. In other words, if it gets dirty, use a mild furniture cleaner (e.g. Murphy Oil) to clean it. Don't put it in the dishwasher or clean it with normal soap.

Packaging:
This yarn holder will arrive a recycled gray mailer. The outer packaging must be thrown away, and the inner packaging will be entirely compostable.
