Handmade Mustard, Blue, and Purple Yarn Using 100% Wool

Quick facts:

• Handspun, 2-ply.
• Purple, green, yellow-green, and white.
• About 110 yards available (110.2 yards / 100.8 meters).
• Approximately aran weight (about 8 WPI) with some thick-and-thin variation.
• Uses 100% wool.

Description:

This yarn has a vibrant palette of blue, yellow, and purple. It's springy and energetic, with a soft texture and an awesome color-changing contrast. Sometimes the 2 plies line up with the same color and sometimes they vary, creating some nice variation in the wool. The wool for this yarn is from a local vendor, and I spun it on my Electric Eel Wheel from Dreaming Robots. Enjoy!

Care:

The yarn is ready-to-use. When it's time to clean, hand-wash it in cold water (using a wool conditioner) and lay flat to dry.

Length estimation:

The length of the yarn was estimated by weighing a small length of yarn, finding the centimeter-to-gram ratio, and applying this to the entire weight of the skein. If you'd like a more exact measurement, just let me know! I'd be more than happy to measure the exact length with greater precision.

Packaging:

The yarn will arrive in either a recycled gray mailer or a paper mailer. If it’s in a paper mailer, then the outer packaging (i.e., mailer, label, tape) is entirely recyclable and compostable. If it's in a gray mailer, the outer packaging must be thrown away. In either case, the inner packaging will be entirely compostable.
