Handmade Table-Top Festive Tree with Tin Star Topper Using Hand-Split Sustainable Wood

Description:

This tabletop festive tree decoration uses a blend of sustainable woods, a repurposed copper pipe, a blend of plastic-free finishes, and a tin star topper. We hand-split and hand-milled all the wood, all of which is American domestic woods which are sustainably-managed using industry best practices. We made it entirely by hand in a smoke-free environment. In fact, we used hand-powered tools for everything except for the center holes on the wood branches (which we made with a drill press). We finished the wood 1 coat of boiled linseed oil and beeswax. Altogether, the wood in this piece has a visually striking shine to it, without being overpoweringly glossy. Also, unlike most modern finishes, this method is entirely plastic-free and traditional. We finished off the piece with a fun, tin star topper for the final touch. (The tin star topper may be either white or metal.) This piece will be a really fun and beautiful decoration for the holiday season, especially in a small space or apartment. Enjoy!

Care:

This tree requires the same care as a small piece of furniture. In other words, if it gets dirty, use a mild furniture cleaner (e.g. Murphy Oil) to clean it. Don't put it in the dishwasher or clean it with normal soap.
