Description:
This art batt uses a vibrant blend of bright colors and stark neutrals and is sprinkled with wool shreds for texture. It's almost entirely wool (98% wool) with a small amount (2%) of organic white cotton for textural interest. The white cotton has much more luster than the wool, so when spun into yarn it will produce a beautiful, almost pearlescent effect. The multicolor shreds in the yarn are in all different colors, adding visual and textural variety, and were upcycled by hand. The materials for this batt are quite sustainable; 78% of the fibers were processed sustainably, using environmentally-friendly detergents and dyes, 19% of the fibers are secondhand, and the remaining 3% of the fibers are organic. All of the fibers purchased for this batt came from independent sellers, and I blended the fibers by hand on my drum carder. This batt will make an awesome project, full of color and vibrancy. Enjoy!
Packaging:
The batt will arrive in either a recycled gray mailer or a paper mailer. If it’s in a paper mailer, then the outer packaging (i.e., mailer, label, tape) is entirely recyclable and compostable. If it's in a gray mailer, the outer packaging must be thrown away. In either case, the inner packaging will be entirely compostable.
Additional info:
Please note the exact texture color will vary from the photos, which are intended to give a sense of general character and color palette. Also, please be aware that due to the nature of handmade goods, the batt could have slight imperfections.
