Handspun Chocolate Brown Thick-and-Thin DK Yarn Using 100% Upcycled Wool

Quick facts:

• Chocolate brown, 1-ply.
• Thin (about 11 WPI) with a lot of thick-and-thin variation.
• 100% upcycled wool.

Description:

This yarn has a rich brown color, soft texture, and an interesting thick-and-thin variation in weight. It has one ply and is approximately a DK weight. This is a 100% wool yarn, using entirely upcycled wool. I spun this yarn by hand using my Electric Eel Wheel. Enjoy!

Care:

The yarn is ready-to-use. When it's time to clean, hand-wash it in cold water (using a wool conditioner) and lay flat to dry.

Length estimation:

The length of the skein was estimated by weighing a small length of yarn, finding the centimeter-to-gram ratio, and applying this to the entire weight of the skein. If you'd like a more exact measurement, just let me know! I'd be more than happy to measure the exact length with greater precision.

Packaging:

The yarn will arrive in either a recycled gray mailer or a paper mailer. If it’s in a paper mailer, then the outer packaging (i.e., mailer, label, tape) is entirely recyclable and compostable. If it's in a gray mailer, the outer packaging must be thrown away. In either case, the inner packaging will be entirely compostable.
