Handspun Coral and Robin's Egg Handspun Wool Yarn

Quick facts:

• Handspun, 2-ply.
• Gentle marled gradient of coral, white, and robin's egg blue.
• About 96 yards (95.7 yards / 87.5 meters).

Description:

This handspun yarn has a gentle gradient from coral, to white, to blue. Each color has tonal variations, like a deep teal within the blue, and the overall color change is linear (i.e., there's no striping, just a one-way transition). This pieces is incredibly soft and pillowy in texture. Also, the thickness of the yarn changes throughout with some thick-and-thin variation. I spun this by hand on my Electric Eel Wheel from Dreaming Robots. Enjoy!

Care:

The yarn is ready-to-use. When it's time to clean, hand-wash it in cold water (using a wool conditioner) and lay flat to dry.

Length estimation:

The length of the skein was estimated by weighing a small length of yarn, finding the centimeter-to-gram ratio, and applying this to the entire weight of the skein. If you'd like a more exact measurement, just let me know! I'd be more than happy to measure the exact length with greater precision.

Packaging:

The yarn will arrive in either a recycled gray mailer or a paper mailer. If it’s in a paper mailer, then the outer packaging (i.e., mailer, label, tape) is entirely recyclable and compostable. If it's in a gray mailer, the outer packaging must be thrown away. In either case, the inner packaging will be entirely compostable.
