Handspun Ice Cream Sprinkles Yarn Using Recycled Materials

Quick facts:
- Handspun, 2-ply.
- Hand-blended variation of cream, pink, purple, yellow, green, blue, etc.

- Varying weight with some thick-and-thin, but approximately aran (~8 WPI).

Description:

This fun handspun art yarn is sweet and bouncy! It features a vibrant color scheme of pink, yellow, green, purple, blue, etc. that vary together for a soft almost stripey effect. The weight of the yarn has some thick-and-thin but is around an aran weight. The whole piece uses reclaimed fibers. I hand-blended the fibers myself using my drum carder, then spun them on my Electric Eel Wheel from Dreaming Robots before plying them together. All my work took place in a smoke-free environment. Enjoy!

Care:

The yarn is ready-to-use. When it's time to clean, hand-wash it in cold water (using a wool conditioner) and lay flat to dry.

Length estimation:

The length of the skein was estimated by weighing a small length of yarn, finding the centimeter-to-gram ratio, and applying this to the entire weight of the skein. If you'd like a more exact measurement, just let me know! I'd be more than happy to measure the exact length with greater precision.

Packaging:

The yarn will arrive in either a recycled gray mailer or a paper mailer. If it’s in a paper mailer, then the outer packaging (i.e., mailer, label, tape) is entirely recyclable and compostable. If it's in a gray mailer, the outer packaging must be thrown away. In either case, the inner packaging will be entirely compostable.
