Handspun Purple and Multicolor Wool Yarn Using 100% Wool

Quick facts:

• Handspun, 2-ply.
• Light purple with gold, yellow, white, red, light blue, black, and other colors.

• Approximately aran weight weight (about 8 WPI) with some variations.
• Uses 100% new wool.

Description:

This handspun yarn is a light purple with color variations in gold, yellow, white, red, light blue, black, etc. The effect is hand-painted and jazzy, with a unified color palette and visual energy. It will make a beautiful fabric with a watercolor-type visual and some texture. The yarn is approximately an aran weight (about 8 WPI). It's soft to the touch, with a great bounce to it. The wools for this yarn were processed sustainably, using environmentally-friendly detergents and dyes. I blended the fibers by hand using my drum carder, then spun it on my Electric Eel Wheel from Dreaming Robots. Enjoy!

Care:

The yarn is ready-to-use. When it's time to clean, hand-wash it in cold water (using a wool conditioner) and lay flat to dry.

Length estimation:

The length of the skein was estimated by weighing a small length of yarn, finding the centimeter-to-gram ratio, and applying this to the entire weight of the skein. If you'd like a more exact measurement, just let me know! I'd be more than happy to measure the exact length with greater precision.

Packaging:

The yarn will arrive in either a recycled gray mailer or a paper mailer. If it’s in a paper mailer, then the outer packaging (i.e., mailer, label, tape) is entirely recyclable and compostable. If it's in a gray mailer, the outer packaging must be thrown away. In either case, the inner packaging will be entirely compostable.
